Emma has discovered the joy of Rock Band. I noticed that one of the songs on Rock Band 2 is one that she sings along with on Radio Disney. So Sunday afternoon we hooked it all up and let her join us on vocals. She did really good! On the easy level you just kind of have to get the right tone, not necessarily every right word. She stays on pitch very well.

We tried a few other songs (she cracked me up on Eye of the Tiger). If she started to slip in her rating and get close to being kicked out, she would put the mic in front of me and let me sing to get it back up again and then she’d steal it away and keep going. Now we have Band Nelson – Brian on drums, Emma as lead vocals, and me on the guitar. We’ll have to come up with a good name though.

I’m really gonna enjoy having the kids older and being able to play video games with them.
